Residents of San Juan County, New Mexico, now have greater access to food safety training through a new partnership with EduClasses®, provider of the FHC® Food Handler Classes program. This collaboration allows eligible individuals to receive food handler training that supports workforce readiness and public health across the region.
The FHC® Food Handler Classes program is ANAB-accredited and meets New Mexico state requirements.
It is designed to be:
- 100% online and available 24/7
- Fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to use
- Available in English and Spanish
- Ideal for restaurants, food trucks, grocery stores, schools, and more
As part of this initiative, county programs are incorporating the training into broader workforce development efforts. For example, the San Juan County Navigation Center has shared that it provides FHC® food handler training to clients seeking entry-level employment as a path out of unemployment or homelessness. Access to certification can serve as a stepping stone for individuals rebuilding their lives through job readiness and essential skill development.
EduClasses® is proud to support programs that empower individuals with the tools and training needed to pursue meaningful work in food service.
